Horizontal Diesel Electronic Ignition Device

I. Product Introduction

The YPD20/3H intelligent horizontal diesel ignition and combustion device (also known as a flare pipeline diesel ignition device), designed and manufactured by Xi'an Hongding Energy Technology Co., Ltd., can ignite and burn flammable and harmful gases to eliminate their environmental and safety hazards. It is a safe and environmentally friendly device. The main components and cables are made of high-quality domestic products, and their performance has been stable and reliable after years of use in numerous applications.

2. Product Usage Environment and Safety

Since most of the gases to be burned are harmful gases, the ignition device must be placed away from residential areas and downwind; the diesel tank level needs to be checked regularly; and all pipelines must be ensured to be intact. During transportation and hoisting, care must be taken to prevent damage to the insulation of the ignition wires of the venting ignition device.

When installing the venting ignition device, always choose an open area where it will not cause a fire. The burner base must be securely fixed to the foundation, using taut ropes if necessary.


3. Product Working Principle

When the well site needs to vent according to actual working conditions, the venting gas is delivered to the venting ignition device through the venting pipeline. The ignition device then begins operation: a) Open the gas valve and diesel valve; b) Press the ignition button to initiate ignition.

Ignition Principle: When the ignition button is pressed, the battery in the electrical control box converts the low voltage of 12V to a high voltage of 220V via an inverter, driving the 16KV high-voltage transformer for a momentary discharge, igniting the atomized diesel fuel at the ignition head. The burning diesel fuel then ignites the toxic and harmful gases delivered from the venting pipeline.


4. Product Structure, Main Components, and External Dimensions

The ignition device mainly includes a base, an LD-BXD(M)99L explosion-proof power ignition box, a gas burner, and ignition gas pipeline connectors. It is a critical piece of equipment in oilfield drilling to ensure blowout prevention and guarantee well site safety.

II. Product Installation and On-site Commissioning

1. Lifting

The equipment base is equipped with lifting lugs. During lifting, ensure balance and take safety precautions.


2. Site Preparation and Cleanup

After unpacking the equipment, prepare all necessary accessories and proceed with the installation: ① Install and secure the main body of the ignition device; ② Place/fix the diesel tank and control cabinet at a safe location 30m away from the ignition device at the well site; ③ Connect the gas supply and oil pipes; ④ Secure and protect the oil and gas pipes to prevent damage during use.


3. Commissioning

Pre-discharge test without gas supply: After connecting all interfaces, ensure all gas and oil pipe valves are closed. First, turn on the power switch and manually ignite the spark plug. A strong spark should be emitted. Otherwise, check the circuit for continuity, the reliability of each high-voltage output connector, and ensure the spark plug gap is between 3-5mm. After passing the checks, ignite again until a strong spark is emitted. Next, turn on the gas supply switch and fuel line switch. Observe that the fuel injector sprays out evenly and stably atomized diesel fuel. Ignite using the ignition button on the ignition control cabinet. After successful ignition, close the diesel valve until the flame extinguishes, and then perform the next ignition. Repeat this process 3-5 times, aiming for a 100% ignition success rate.

Precautions: A. Before operating the ignition device, check if the battery in the electrical control box has power.

B. Ensure the diesel fuel line is securely installed and free from leaks.

C. If any abnormality occurs during operation, immediately turn off the emergency switch.


III. Product Operation

1. On-site Operation

1-1. Turn on the control cabinet power, diesel fuel line, and gas supply switch.

1-2. When evenly and stably atomized diesel fuel is sprayed out, press the ignition button on the control cabinet until ignition. Release the ignition button, ignite any harmful gases in the fuel line, and then turn off the power switch, diesel fuel switch, and gas supply switch.


2. Remote Operation

1-1. Turn on the power to the control cabinet, diesel fuel line, and gas supply switch;

1-2. Push the switch on the side of the remote control to the ON position (N);

1-3. When atomized diesel fuel is sprayed out evenly and smoothly, press the ignition button (A/B) on the remote control panel until ignition. Release the ignition button, release the harmful gas from the release pipeline, and then turn off the power switch, diesel fuel switch, and gas supply switch.


IV. Instruction Manual for Electronic Ignition Combination Control System

1. Product Overview:

The oilfield remote explosion-proof remote control ignition device produced by Xi'an Hongding Energy Technology Co., Ltd. mainly consists of a portable explosion-proof power supply control box, an explosion-proof ignition box, a high-voltage ignition cable, an ignition gun, and a winding reel. The product employs a high-performance ignition circuit and a newly developed high-power power module circuit. It includes a battery voltage detection and alarm circuit (a buzzer sounds when the battery voltage drops below 11V, prompting timely charging to prevent battery damage), and an internal automatic temperature control circuit (allowing normal operation in low-temperature environments). With stable performance and reliable operation, it is suitable for the combustion of flammable and harmful gases or waste gases during oil drilling operations and natural gas exploration and extraction, eliminating their environmental and safety hazards. It is a safe and environmentally friendly device.

The oilfield remote explosion-proof ignition device uses a portable explosion-proof enclosure, integrating local and remote ignition. The control box has a built-in 12V battery, which can be charged via a dedicated intelligent charger. Wireless remote control enables remote ignition within a 300-meter range. Pressure transmitters and flame detectors can also be installed on the pipeline to achieve unattended, fully automatic ignition (optional). The product is widely used for ignition control of flares in oil and gas drilling and extraction.

5. Usage:

5-1. Before use, check if the battery voltage in the power control box is normal. Turn on the power switch; the battery voltage display will light up, showing the current battery voltage. It should not be lower than 12V for normal operation. The box has a battery voltage detection circuit. When the battery voltage drops below 11V, a buzzer will sound, warning you to charge it as soon as possible, otherwise it may be damaged by depletion. If the voltage is below 12V, you can use a smart charger to charge it. The charger indicator light is red when charging and green when fully charged. It's best to float charge for another 2 hours.


5-2. Install the ignition gun in the working position.

5-3. Connect the power control box, ignition box, and ignition gun according to the ignition device connection diagram above. Note that the ignition gun should be connected to the ignition output interface of the ignition box using a high-voltage ignition cable. Ensure the cable nut is tightened securely; otherwise, ignition performance will be affected. Connect both ends of the integrated wiring harness to the power control box and ignition box using explosion-proof plugs. Ensure the connections are secure and not loose.

5-4. Operation:

The power control box is equipped with a power switch, local ignition button, battery voltage display, ignition indicator, and heating indicator.

① Local Ignition: Turn on the power switch. The battery voltage display will light up. Press the ignition button. The ignition indicator light will illuminate (the ignition box indicator light will also illuminate simultaneously), indicating that ignition is in progress. Once the fuel is ignited, immediately release the ignition button to stop ignition.

② Remote Ignition: Turn on the power switch. The battery voltage display will light up. Then operate using the configured remote control panel. Turn on the power switch on the side of the remote control panel and press ignition button A to start ignition. Release the button to stop ignition. This is safe and reliable. Button B is another control channel reserved for user convenience.

Note: Extend the remote control panel's receiving antenna if the distance is far.

5-5. If the ambient temperature is too low, a heating cable can be used to connect the power control box to a 24V DC power supply. The automatic heating controller inside the box will supplement the temperature to ensure normal operation of the equipment. The heating indicator will illuminate when heating is in progress and will turn off when heating has stopped. The internal temperature controller should be set to 0℃; do not exceed this temperature to prevent damage to internal electrical components.


6. Precautions:

6-1. If the igniter operates continuously for more than 20 seconds, the internal igniter protection circuit will activate, automatically shutting off the igniter. Release the button to restart ignition.

6-2. Turn off the side power switch when not in use. If the remote control is not operating smoothly, the battery voltage may be low; please replace the battery. The remote control box receiver circuit and remote control board circuit are coded and paired and cannot be interchanged. If the remote control does not work properly, re-pair it. Open the power control box panel, turn on the power switch. The power indicator light on the internal remote transmitter circuit will illuminate. Press the miniature button switch on the circuit board; the power indicator light will turn off. Then press button A on the remote control until the power indicator light flashes and then remains constantly lit. A relay click indicates successful pairing.

6-3. Avoid strong vibrations during use.

6-4. Turn off the power switch on the power control box when not in use to prevent battery depletion.

6-5. Charge the remote control promptly after use. Each charging time should be no less than 8 hours. When not in use for an extended period, fully charge the igniter before storage. Charge it once a month during storage.
